Criminal Law Specialist
As a recognized criminal law specialist by the Arizona State Bar since 1995, Lee Phillips has demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill in the area of criminal law. The specialist certification also means that Lee was evaluated favorably by other defense attorneys, prosecutors and judges familiar with his work. In order to be honored with such recognition, an attorney must meet the rigorous requirements of the State Bar's Board Certification process. The certification requires that the attorney handle at least ten criminal felony jury trials, fifteen evidentiary or other hearings involving substantial contested issues of law or fact and at least five petitions or appeals to the Arizona Court of Appeals, Arizona Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals or the United States Supreme Court.
